• “Raving for Shrek, the Swamp Comes to Brooklyn”- Not a scandal, but I’m sad I didn’t know this was a thing until now.

• “Buzzfeed's Interim EIC Leaving To Run Failing Ice Cream Brand”- TK

• TW: Just Gross- Uh, so based on this Twitter thread, The Dr. Oz Show had a really weird way of dealing with human organs…

• “Mormon influencer whose husband is divorcing her after she broke the rules of 'SOFT SWINGING' arrangement opens up about their custody deal in dancing TikTok video”- The scandal I hate to love, it’s hard to look away.

• “The Real Scandal Buried in the Uber Leak”- An interesting read, particularly when read in tandem with Salon'‘s article titled, “After algorithm shift, Uber Eats couriers without cars report dwindling wages”

• “Melbourne woman left feeling 'dehumanised' after TikTok influencer posted video of her without consent”- This is only one of the recent examples of the backlash to this performative (?) goodwill. The Guardian also covered it in their piece, “Gifts for strangers: the ‘ethically ambiguous’ TikTok trend using unknowing people as fodder for content”

• “Influencers over the age of 30 are warned to 'stay off TikTok' because they're TOO OLD and the users are 'absolutely brutal'“- Good thing for those of us women in our 30s are too old to care about the opinions of anonymous internet goblins with garbage opinions.

• “When Brands Got H**ny From d**k pics to @nilingu$ to impregnated mascots, social marketing has entered its carnal era.”- I’m still trying to unsee the Duolingo and Scrub Daddy video, so proceed with caution.
