This week had me glad I’m not working on the Microsoft or CrowdStrike PR teams.

• “Huge Microsoft Outage Linked to CrowdStrike Takes Down Computers Around the World”- The flight traffic footage map was fascinating.

• “Residents of sleepy UK village fear moaning from Swingathon s3x festival will keep them up”- I feel like it could be a good Airbnb opportunity for them— as long as they don’t give it too much thought.

• “Oscar Mayer Wienermobile flips onto its side after crash along suburban Chicago highway”- Whoops, someone’s getting fired from that internship. Fun fact, I’ve sat in the Wienermobile— yes, it was as cool as you’d imagine.

• “TikTokker slaps rival content creator with lawsuit that could ‘change the influencer game’ as we know it”- This feels like blatant copying.

• “SheerLuxe defends use of AI influencer”- Love a good non-apology apology.

• "U.S. Olympic Committee sues Prime, Logan Paul's energy drink brand, alleging trademark infringement”- Feel like they just could have avoided this by calling it the Kevin Durant Olympic Prime Drink!

• “L.L. Bean sued by Skechers; footwear maker accuses Maine company of copying designs”- For some reason I thought it’d have been the other way around.

• “Michelin star restaurant slammed by US influencer as ‘worst’ in the world: ‘Like eating lip gloss’”- This reminds me of the time I was on Telemundo trying a cocktail called Lickable Skin

• “RealPage Has Been Accused of Price-Fixing Rents. Now It’s on the Offensive”- Shady, shady.

• “Meet the Young Men Paying to Attend Mogwarts, an Online School for Becoming Hot”- I applaud them getting men into skincare but… dang.

• “Grindr Dating App Crashes in Milwaukee During RNC: Everything We Know”- That feels… unsurprising.

• “She Didn’t Like His Song, So She Tried to Eat Him”- Probably worth noting this article is about frogs, btw.

• “The fall of EV startup Fisker: A comprehensive timeline”- There was also a review from Marques Brownlee that was absolutely BRUTAL.

• “‘90 Day Fiancé’ Friend Sentenced in Drug Trafficking Case”- Whoops.

• 🔏“Forever Grateful: The Online Ceramics Founders Are Parting Ways”- I love niche drama like this.
